Our Mission As a congregation of the Universal Church of Jesus Christ in the Baptist tradition, Third Baptist Church of Chicago is to be the Lord s Great House, living out the Greatest Commandment and fulfilling the Great Commission. (2 Timothy 2:20-21; Matthew 22:36-40; Matthew 28:18-20) Our Vision As we fulfill our mission, Third Baptist Church of Chicago will enhance God s Kingdom in these ways: - Increasing in souls added through evangelism - Developing new disciples, learning the faith - Expanding its ministry to serve local and global communities - Growing servant-leaders for the servant ministries of the church - Working for biblical justice through advocacy and activism
